After an amazing career at NBC, Ely Mondshein took a step of faith to launch Compass Partners. God has blessed our team beyond expectation with excellent campaigns and loyal clients. Ely chose the name Compass Partners because of her desire to provide direction to those who want it. When it comes to her strengths, Ely has been blessed with many; but high on that list is an ability to look at a client’s challenges and provide solutions for the greatest outcome.

Founder and President

After a 25 year career at NBC, Ely used her talent to launch Compass Partners. She is the visionary who has brought together a team of experts second to none. In her free time, Alex enjoys spending time with high schoolers at her church's student ministry, The Fuge; improvising with the Comedy School Dropouts; and learning about outer space.
Bob Mayer
TV Consumer Advocate

After a record-setting forty-plus years reporting and anchoring, Bob Mayer signed off from the NBC anchor desk to begin his new career as a consumer advocate. As a television journalist, he logged more hours in the field and more hours on the air than any other South Florida broadcaster. Bob's automotive and consumer reports, which spanned four decades, spurred changes in state law, informed consumers on how to avoid rip-offs, and gave car-buyers powerful information that saved them countless thousands of dollars over the years. His "Behind the Wheel" new car reports featured Bob driving a different new car each week during the new model year roll-out, giving consumers his personal review of each car.

A winner of the prestigious Peabody Award for excellence in journalism, Bob was also awarded the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) coveted Silver Circle Award for a quarter century of contributions to South Florida television.

Outside of work, Bob enjoys spending time with his family and with his classic cars. He and his son Chad are both avid antique car enthusiasts. Mayer is past president of the Antique Automobile Club of America, South Florida Region, having served as president for a record seven terms. He holds the title of Editor Emeritus for the AACA monthly Magazine, Sidelights, having served as editor of the magazine for a record five years.
Jen Herrera
TV Consumer Advocate

Two-time Emmy nominated Jen Herrera spent over a decade reporting and anchoring the news in South Florida. During her time at ABC Local 10, she anchored nearly ever newscast and is widely recognized as a favorite among viewers in South Florida and beyond. Jen, who is also bilingual, was also one of only two South Florida journalists granted access into Cuba in 2012 for Pope Benedict XVI’s historic visit.

Jen has also brought her natural on-camera talent to national brands such as Folgers and AmerisourceBergen. Her career-long commitment to viewers remains the same, and Jen is very selective about who she stands behind. This unique blend of journalistic integrity and on-camera charisma makes her a powerful consumer advocate who can relate and build trust with consumers across demographics.

While not at work, Jen loves spending time at home with her husband and two daughters. She also enjoys being involved with some favorite non-profit organizations, including Autism Speaks, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Relay for Life.
Ileana Bravo
On-Air Personality/Media Trainer

Ileana Bravo has been a familiar face on broadcast television for more than two decades. Her award-winning reports have been seen in virtually every US television market. She was one of the first television journalists in the country to develop a niche as daily health news correspondent and after more than two decades reporting on TV network stations, this veteran reporter brought her in-depth style of interviewing and on-camera experience to the business world. Her bilingual abilities, in neutral English and Spanish, are a winning combination.

She is a recipient of the prestigious Dupont-Columbia Journalism award and the George Foster Peabody Award. Additionally, Ileana has been awarded first place from the Florida Medical Association for Excellence in Medical Journalism.

Ileana is also a recognized media trainer for MasterCard Worldwide, Baptist Health Systems, the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Health Systems and Miami Children’s Hospital.
Shaun Schofield

Shaun joins Compass Partners as an experienced team member specializing in Strategic Planning, Business Development, and Creative Consulting.

Shaun's passion lies in consumer insight. His commitment to consumers helps companies and organizations reach their target audiences with strategic hand-crafted messaging born from understanding, truth, creativity, and refined with precision.

A graduate from the University of North Florida with degrees in Advertising, Public Relations and Photography, Shaun has created results for clients like Puma, Audi, Jupiter Medical Center, Greg Norman’s Great White Shark Enterprises, My Pillow, and many more.

Shaun met his wife Nathalie in his hometown of Jacksonville, FL, and they have begun their forever journey together with their daughters Makinley and Emerson in sunny South Florida.
